Nuuk, Greenland's capital, is a small city on the country's southwest coast. Its large fjord system is known for waterfalls, humpback whales and icebergs. The waterfront is dotted with brightly colored houses against the backdrop of Sermitsiaq mountain. Greenland National Museum has mummies and Inuit skin boats, while the Nuuk Art Museum displays local works.
To the east of Baffin Bay, discover Disko Bay, scattered with countless icebergs produced by the Ilulissat Icefjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From your ship, admire the majestic ballet of these ice giants as they slowly drift across the dark waters. This site is a natural marvel of Greenland, and is also renowned as an observation point for the region’s many humpback whales. The encounters with wild fauna and stunning landscapes in the heart of this spectacular and fragile nature will be pure moments of wonder for you.

Founded in 1756, Sisimiut served as a whaling station and commercial port for many years. Located 100 km north of the Arctic Circle, it is the northernmost port of west Greenland to be free of ice. A visit to the country’s oldest wooden church, dating back to 1775, is highly recommended.

From your ship, discover the town of Narsaq. You will be dazzled by the beauty of the surrounding icebergs − large masses of ice in different shapes and shifting colours. Dominated by lush mountains, this small town is typical of Greenland and is located in the heart of a wonderful natural landscape. The multicoloured house facades and the glaciers with their myriad shades of blue offer a magical setting, conducive to wonderment.
Thanks to “Puilasoq” its famous Popular Arts College, Qaqortoq boasts a large number of well preserved art works. Founded by Erik the Red, the “white” town also features houses made from peat and an interesting museum of traditional tools belonging to the Inuits and the early Icelandic colonialists.
Encircled by mountains and the sea, Reykjavik is minutes away from Iceland’s unspoiled rugged nature as the presence of arctic terns, wild geese and ducks in the city centre can testify. You will be fascinated by the natural sites and exceptional geology which surround the Icelandic capital.
