Killarney is a town on the shores of Lough Leane in southwest Ireland’s County Kerry. It’s a stop on the Ring of Kerry scenic drive, and the start and finishing point of the 200-km Kerry Way walking trail. The town's 19th-century buildings include St. Mary’s Cathedral. Tobermory is a harbour village on the Bruce Peninsula in the province of Ontario. For centuries, the cliff-top site of what is now Quйbec City was occupied by a native Iroquois village. The first permanent European settlement began in 1608 when Samuel de Champlain established a fur trading post. By 1663, New France had become a royal province, administered by a council appointed directly by the crown and answerable to the king's council in France. Long-brewing European struggles between England and France spilled over into the colonies, prompting the construction of Quйbec's formidable fortifications. The Seven Years War put an end to French reign and left the city in English hands. An American attack in 1775 was successfully warded off by the English, and for the next century Quйbec quietly earned its livelihood as a center for shipbuilding and timber trade.

Tadoussac is a village in Quebec, Canada, at the confluence of the Saguenay and Saint Lawrence rivers. The indigenous Innu called the place Totouskak meaning "bosom", probably in reference to the two round and sandy hills located on the west side of the village.

Red Bay

L'Anse aux Meadows is an archaeological site on the northernmost tip of the Great Northern Peninsula on the island of Newfoundland in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Archaeological evidence of a Norse presence was discovered at L'Anse aux Meadows in the 1960s.

Arsuk is a village in the Sermersooq municipality in southwestern Greenland. It had 73 inhabitants in 2020. The name of the settlement means the beloved place in the Greenlandic language. The village is served by the communal all-purpose Pilersuisoq store.

NUUK, GREENLAND As the capital of Greenland, Nuuk is the center of its trade, shipping, industry and administration. Nuuk, also known as "the promontory," is located at the tip of a large peninsula by the mouth of the gigantic Nuuk Fjord. Disko Bay is a large bay on the western coast of Greenland. The bay constitutes a wide southeastern inlet of Baffin Bay.

Sisimiut, formerly known by its colonial name Holsteinsborg, is the capital and largest city of the Qeqqata municipality, the second-largest city in Greenland, and the largest arctic city in North America. It is located in central-western Greenland, on the coast of Davis Strait, approximately 320 km north of Nuuk.

Kangerlussuaq is a small town in western Greenland. It's at the eastern end of a deep fjord. The town is known for its airport, which is Greenland’s major international transport hub. The airport’s Kangerlussuaq Museum illustrates the town’s past as a U.S. airbase during WWII. A road runs northeast from town to the vast Greenland Ice Sheet. Here, Russell Glacier is a vantage point for ice-calving events.
