  5. Day 5Funchal, MadeiraNov 9, 2028 • Arrives at: 8 am • Departs at: 5 pm

Lush botanical gardens and superbly landscaped terraces adorn the hills above the capital. Settle down in a local café and soak up the scenery with a perfectly chilled glass of fortified wine - an island speciality.

  6. Day 6La Palma, SpainNov 10, 2028 • Arrives at: 9 am • Departs at: 5 pm

La Isla Bonita’ La Palma is one of the smaller of the seven Canary Islands. Its capital, Santa Cruz de la Palma, is a picturesque harbour set on the eastern side of this charming volcanic formation. The island’s landscape is one of black sand beaches, mountainous terrain and rich plant life, with the average temperature hardly changing all year round.

  7. Day 7TenerifeNov 11, 2028 • Arrives at: 8 am • Departs at: 6 pm

Beloved for its beaches, Tenerife also offers a feast for the eyes. Either from the numerous galleries and museums or the incredibly panoramic cable car ascent of Mount Teide, there is so much to see. Tenerife is soothing on the ears, too. Listen for the timple, a distinctive element of Canarian folk music, or perhaps catch a recital at the Auditorio, home to the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra.

  8. Day 8Fuerteventura, Canary IslandsNov 12, 2028 • Arrives at: 8 am • Departs at: 6 pm

If it's sun, sand and sea you're looking for this is the destination for you. Of course there's a lot more to Fuerteventura - volcanic cones, stunning landscapes and plenty of windmills for example.

  9. Day 9At SeaNov 13, 2028
  10. Day 10Lisbon, PortugalNov 14, 2028 • Arrives at: 8 am • Departs at: 6 pm

Portugal's capital spreads its ancient sites on seven hills overlooking the Tagus River. Atop the highest hill, St. George's Castle overlooks the city. Balconies ablaze with geraniums and wrought iron lamps light up the medieval Alfama quarter. Sorrowful fados ring out from cafés in the Alto. Shoppers browse in the affluent Chiado district. A short drive away, deposed royalty once lived out their days in the opulent palaces of Estoril and Sintra.
